» A single glance will tell that Jian is what others may refer to as 'one of those stereotypically chinese types'. He has a very healthy frame, one balancing gracefully between being lithe and outright herculean, with well-built sturdy muscle packed efficiently into a robust bone structure. Jian possesses a distinctive male anatomy that allows him full, flexible mobility, but also enables him to pack a scary shattering punch when the need arises. With long arms and long legs, the first question people ask him when they see him is usually along the lines of, "do you practice martial arts?" - to which Jian would roll his eyes and answer with something ambiguous to end the conversation. Frequent meditation and visits to shrines and temples have given Jian a distinctive smell of chinese incense sticks, one that he himself does not notice due to frequent exposure.
Jian has a sort of appealing, young, elegant look to him credited to his delicately tanned skin; certainly not girlish nor the next Brad Pitt, but a form that makes him look gracefully nimble, light-footed and agile - an appearance that makes him seem less fit for combat and more fit for a posh life in regality. His hair is a natural dark-brown and black hue, grown abnormally long past his shoulders but brushed neatly nonetheless. He likes to tie most of his hair in a neat flowing ponytail, leaving some hanging over his ears. Jian's eyes are a fitting dark hazel in color - expressive, but not so much as to make him look melodramatic.
His attire is what adds to final touch to his overall china-centric looks. He wears a long red traditional styled 'pao' outfit on most days, one with stereotypically long sleeves that stretch past his hands and gold highlights. The outfit hides a yin-yang necklace - one that caps his transformation in case he decides to lose his temper. In situations that require combat, he folds these sleeves up to reveal his hands. Otherwise, they stay hidden. Traditional sense of honor and self-respect refrains Jian from wearing anything more revealing than a short-sleeved shirt and knee-length pants. He gets a little irked when he sees anything more revealing on men and women. Tank tops or short shorts irritate him - seeing shirtless people or girls in a two-piece at the beach make him want to neuter the world.
In his eastern dragon form, Jian resembles the very textbook image of a chinese dragon, a long scaly body, four clawed appendages, a thick mane, long whiskers, and gold eyes without pupils.[/div]
Abilities
» ATMOKINESIS, Jian can sense and influence meteorological patterns as an eastern dragon, creating rain, wind, hail, lightning, snow, sleet, fog and temperature changes whilst being highly resistant or immune to weather hazards. He has the ability to generate various natural phenomena and control the intensity of the weather in a highly concentrated (indoor room) or vastly extended (continental) areas. As of now, the limit of his influence on the weather is a half kilometer radius. Of course, the closer an individual or object is to Jian, the stronger the effect of Jian's power is on them. While he is unable to incorporate atmokinesis directly into his body for physical combat, he can still create storms, great gusts of wind, rain lightning down on specific targets within his range, change the temperature of an area from hot to cold an vice versa, and sense shifts in the weather. His attacks at this stage will be able to destroy non-moving objects such as trees and cars with little ease - but only cause second to third degree burns on individuals.
» EASTERN DRAGON PHYSIOLOGY, Jian has the ability to take on the (currently) partial form of a chinese dragon portrayed as a long, scaled, wingless serpentine with four clawed appendages. This allows him the ability to levitate around twenty feet up in the air and 'fly' at a maximum of 50 km/h. At the moment Jian can only turn his arms and legs into the four said appendages of an eastern dragon, with each arm and hand coated in scales and each finger gaining a sharp, curved claw. It grants a simple large increase of strength, durability, and flexibility to the limbs covered in the dragon's scales. His torso and head remain unprotected by the scales, and are still vulnerable to the most basic of physical attacks.
» ELEMENTAL BREATH, as an eastern dragon, Jian has the ability to issue forth a variety of elements from his mouth. He can exhale a specific element, but is not limited to that one element. However, at this stage he is only capable of one element, such is fire breath. His breath can only stretch up to twenty-five meters at the moment, and can cause second to third degree burns at most. Jian breathes his fiery breath through holding both hands before his mouth like he would a longer dart gun and exhale. He is capable of doing this for a maximum of twenty seconds in an arched trajectory before running out of breath.
» ROAR OF THE DRAGON, as a dragon, Jian's roar is so effective he can produce devastating shock waves with a single shout. At this level Jian is capable of causing a shock wave that spans a thirty meter radius, deafening all within the area without protection for at least three minutes and throwing them back by fifteen meters. He can also concentrate the roar on a single target - reducing the range to ten meters but deafening the target for five minutes and throwing them back twenty-five meters. Fus ro dah.
» ACCELERATED REGENERATION, Jian's physiology allows him to rapidly heal from minor cuts, bruises, and serious illnesses. His cells regenerate very rapidly at will, and can heal a small cut in a matter of seconds, a large gash in a matter of minutes, and a major illness in half a day. However, he is unable to regrow limbs in a short period of time - rather, he has to wait at least a week for his appendages to grow back should they be dismembered. At this stage Jian is unable to make his body heal rapidly on its own, and thus must stop everything he is doing and command it to heal himself. Therefore, it is not spontaneous.

[/style]»
Early representations of how humans came onto earth were messy and nondescript. All gods wanted to claim the glory of somehow 'bringing' this species into the land when they so obviously came here by themselves. There was a change of plans - and then Jian went to serve both the dragon god and the emperors of China. He lived years being the benevolent dragon he was supposed to be, hidden in legends, spreading the luck. As an obedient individual he did everything as he was told - but it was never enough for the humans. There was war, tension, fights, destruction of places Jian worked hard to build. He developed a growing lack of respect for human beings, branding them greedy beings with no benevolence or will of kindness. If he were not bound to his duties to the deities, he would've joined the fight himself. Instead he lived on in secret, becoming invisible to the humans by casting himself away into legends. He went into a hiatus of sorts when the last of the chinese emperors died. No longer finding himself with a purpose, Jian went into hiding - or rather, hibernation for the next few decades or so.
It was quite a shock to him when he awoke, when he realized human ingenuity had progressed to the point where technology was now feasible, and things such as transportation wasn't limited to simple walking anymore. It was then that Jian realized that mythos and humans has a bit of a non-aggression pact going between them. A tense, unwanted, disliked pact that many lived to rebel against. Again, however, Jian was not to take sides. He was ordered to wait and stay neutral, as most Chinese gods were told to do. Dutifully, he watches the factions fight - bound by his responsibilities and forbidden from taking a side, he observes with mild interests the actions of the factions. Maybe someday, the eastern gods will have to take a stance. Someday, he'll get to have his share of all the fun away from work.
As of now he simply wanders, clearing the weather, enjoying the modern world for what it was. He is on the road of discovering technology - though he has yet to figure out the inner workings of what the humans call "the water system". What kind of magic allows a simple pull of a lever to release gushes of water into the world? Blasphemy.[/div]
Jian's eastern dragon duties are a number of things: to control the weather as the gods order, to keep a watch on humans on the verge of discovering too much about the otherwise very secretive Eastern deities, and to stay unbiased above all things. He is not allowed to fight with his abilities unless told to specifically - and he follows this rule down to the very last letter.»
» Jian's pendant is what stops him from using his powers to transform into a full eastern dragon. While he is perfectly capable of removing this pendant on his own, his dutiful and honorable sense of tradition prevents him from disobeying orders from above.
